HARLEQUIN STRIKER made all at Nottingham yesterday to record the stable’s second win in two days.
Running off his lowest ever mark (72) and in first time cheek-pieces, he also had the services of Charles Bishop in the saddle. Formerly with Mick Channon, the 5yo son of Bahamian Bounty had won twice with Charles on board.
Good to soft conditions suited and with a lot in his favour, it was perhaps no surprise, “Striker” was well supported into 9/2 third favourite.
Congratulations to Harlequin Direct Ltd and D Bloy, whose charge has now won six races in 33 starts at a very respectable 18% strike rate.
